Mode of operation
- The automatic two-stage ventilator makes sure that large volumes of air are discharged when filling the pipework. The operational ventilator blows out the small pockets of air when the pipework is in operation (under line pressure).
- Air is let into the system through the large cross-section in order to aerate whilst the line is being drained (or if there is a break in the pipework) . This prevents a vacuum forming in the pipework system.
