Application
- System separator with controllable differential pressure, Type BA
- System separation of drinking water in systems such as chemical, car wash, disinfection, emergency cooling, sprinkler systems or entire drinking water systems.
Mode of operation
- The system separator consists of three chambers, whereby the differential pressure in the direction of flow from the first to the third chamber must be at least 140 mbar higher. If this value is not reached, the drain valve opens and the water flows into the sewerage system instead of back into the drinking water network.

- Execution according to EN 1717 and EN 12729
- Pressure: PN 10
- Flange DN 50 to DN 100 Flange hole pattern PN 10 Gunmetal body and cover
- Flange DN 150 to DN 250 Flange hole pattern PN 10 Body and cover made of spheroidal graphite cast iron
- Minimum flow pressure 1.5 - 2 bar, max. flow velocity 3.0 m/s Operating pressure max. 10 bar
- Medium temperature up to 65 °C
Installation and assembly
- Shut–off valves should be fitted on both sides of the valve and a dirt trap should be installed on the inlet side of the valve.
- The installation must be horizontal and should be carried out after the water meter.
- The sewer connection must be large enough to ensure that the valve never comes to rest in the water, even in the event of flooding.
- Type 575 BA system separators require maintenance in accordance with SVGW W3/E2.
